Marduk-apla-iddina I.
The Kassite Marduk-apla-iddina I ( Babylonian : " Marduk has given an heir") ruled from 1170 to 1157 BC. As king of Babylon . He was the son of his predecessor Meli-Šipak and grandson of the Elamite ruler Šutruk-Naḥḥunte . His successor Zababa-šuma-iddina was not related to him and perhaps came to power through an uprising, which could have triggered the Elamite intervention.
