Zababa-šuma-iddina
According to the Babylonian king list, Zababa-šuma-iddina (1157 BC) is the last Kassite ruler of Babylon before the Elamite invasion. He is not documented by any contemporary written documents, so presumably only ruled for a very short time. It is believed that he was not related to the previous dynasty and that the Elamite invasion under Šutruk-Nahhunte , who was married to a daughter of Meli-Šipak , may have been to avenge the deposition of his relative Marduk-apla-iddina I. In a letter that is now in Berlin, Šutruk-Nahhunte names him the son of a Hittite , an abomination for Babylon, who sits on the throne to the detriment of Babylon.
