Marek Krzysztof Wójcik (born March 24, 1980 in Katowice ) is a Polish politician of the Platforma Obywatelska ( Civic Platform ).

Life

Marek Wójcik has been a member of the Młodzi Demokraci (Young Democrats) since 1997 . In 1999 he joined the Unia Wolności . In 2001 he became a member of Platforma Obywatelska (PO). From 2002 to 2005 he was a member of the Katowice City Council. From 2004 to 2006 he was a member of the board of the Młodzi Demokraci. At the same time he was a member of MEP Jan Olbrycht from 2004 to 2005 . In 2006 Wójcik became vice-president of the association Europa jest prosta ( Europe is simple ), of which he has been a member since 2004. In the early parliamentary elections in 2007 Wójcik stood for the Platforma Obywatelska in the constituency 31 Katowice. With 8,870 votes he was able to win a seat in the Sejm . There he worked (2008) in the commissions for administration and internal affairs of the European Union. He is also on the commission to investigate the circumstances of Barbara Blida's death ( Komisja Śledcza do zbadania okoliczności tragicznej śmierci byłej posłanki Barbary Blidy ). He graduated from the University of Silesia in Katowice in 2015 with a law degree.
