Maret Maripuu
Maret Maripuu (born July 16, 1974 in Tallinn , Estonian SSR ) is an Estonian politician . She was Estonian Minister of Social Affairs from April 2007 to February 2009.

Maret Maripuu graduated from high school in Tallinn in 1992. She then worked for Statoil in Estonia in 1993/1994 . From 1994 Maret Maripuu was an advisor to the Liberal Group in the Estonian Parliament ( Riigikogu ), which renamed itself the Estonian Reform Party ( Eesti Reformierakond ) in 1996 . From 1994 to 1999 she was also the head of the office of the Reform Party.
From 1999 to 2007 Maret Maripuu was a member of the Reform Party in the Riigikogu . In 2006/2007 she was Vice-President of Parliament. From 1999 to 2005 she was also a member of Tallinn City Council, of which she was chair from 2001 to 2005. In 2004 she passed her master's degree in law at the private Tallinn University Akadeemia Nord .
From April 2007 to February 2009, Maripuu was Estonian Minister of Social Affairs in the cabinet of Prime Minister Andrus Ansip . In the 2011 parliamentary elections she was re-elected as a member of the Riigikogu .
Maret Maripuu has been the head of the State Office for Occupational Safety ( Tööinspektioon ) since 2014 .
Private life
Maret Maripuu is single. She has a son, Kaspar Gräzin (* 2001), the Estonian politician and lawyer Igor Gräzin (* 1952).
