Margaret Schedel

Margaret Anne Schedel (born April 17, 1974 ) is an American composer , cellist and music teacher.

Schedel studied composition, electronic and computer music at Goucher College (until 1996), the State University of New York in Buffalo (1999), the Johns Hopkins University (until 2001) and the University of Cincinnati (until 2007). She also participated in Pauline Oliveros ' deep listening program . She is Assistant Professor of Composition and Co-Director of Computer Music at Stony Brook University , and a board member of the BEAM Foundation , the Electronic Music Foundation Institute , the International Computer Music Association, and the New West Electronic Art and Music Organization .
