Margaretha von Tost
Margaretha von Tost , also Margarethe, Duchess of Tost (Polish: Małgorzata toszecka ) (* 1467 or 1468 ; † November 8, 1531 in Breslau , Principality of Breslau ) was by birth Duchess of Tost and from 1508 abbess of the Wroclaw Poor Clare Monastery .
Life
Margaretha came from the Opole branch of the Silesian Piasts . She was the only child of Duke Przemislaus III. Tost and his wife Machna († 1468/72), a subsidiary of the Opole Duke Nikolaus I . In 1481 or 1482 she entered the Wroclaw Poor Clare Monastery (now the Ursuline Monastery) as a nun. In February 1508 she was elected abbess there.
