Margit Walsø (2019)

Margit Walsø (born January 11, 1968 ) is a Norwegian writer , publisher and curator . As director of NORLA , the center for Norwegian fiction and specialist literature abroad, she was responsible for the “Partnerland Norway” book fair appearance in Frankfurt in 2019 .

Walsø comes from Sunndalsøra ( Sunndal Municipality ) and studied at the University of Oslo . For more than twelve years she was the editor and later the publishing director of Det Norske Samlaget until she switched to NORLA as director in 2011.

Walsø made his debut in 2005 with the novel Kjære Voltaire ( German lover Voltaire ). Her novels have also been translated into Polish and Turkish .
