Margrit Cecile von Braun (born May 8, 1952 ) is an American scientist specializing in environmental sciences . She held a professorship at the University of Idaho until she retired . Von Braun graduated from Oberlin College at the University of California Los Angeles and the Georgia Institute of Technology with a degree in biotechnology . She is the second daughter of the rocket engineer Wernher von Braun and his wife Maria (née von Quistorp ),

On the occasion of the 100th birthday of her father, Margrit Cecile von Braun gave a speech with “nothing but warm memories” on March 23, 2012 in Huntsville , Alabama .
