The Church of the Protection and Intercession of the Virgin Mary at Medvedkowo (Russian Храм Покрова Пресвятой Богородицы в Медведкове) is a 17th century Russian Orthodox church in Moscow's Southern Medvedkovo district in the north-eastern administrative district . It is located on the right bank of the Jausa, not far from the confluence of the Jausa and Chermjanka rivers. The tent-roof-like church was built in 1635 by order of Dmitri Michailowitsch Poscharski on the site of a former Church of the Protection and Intercession of the Virgin Mary from 1623. Since then the church has been restored several times. It remained undamaged during the French invasion of 1812 and was not closed to services under Soviet rule.
