Mari Aldon (born November 17, 1925 in Tauragė , Lithuania , † October 31, 2004 in Las Vegas ) was a Lithuanian -American actress .

life and career

Aldon was born in Lithuania and grew up in Toronto , Canada. At the age of 21 she moved to Hollywood , where she made her film debut with a small role in the noir film The Locket . In 1958, she received US citizenship.

Aldon played mostly in television series such as Tales of Wells Fargo and Wagon Train . In addition to her roles in television series, she embodied the role of Patricia Kane in the black and white US action drama The Tanks Are Coming by director Lewis Seiler . In 1951 she also played in the western The Devil's Brigade ( Distant Drums ) on the side of Gary Cooper . In 1952 she played a role in the black and white US drama This Woman Is Dangerous . In 1954 she appeared in the supporting role of Myrna in the film The Barefoot Countess, alongside Humphrey Bogart . She took one of her last roles in 1966 in the American television series Bonanza .

Aldon was married to director Tay Garnett , nearly 35 years his senior , with whom she had a daughter.
