Maria Grander

Maria Grander (born November 29, 1953 in Großrupprechts ) is an Austrian politician ( ÖVP ) and a graduate health and nurse. Grander was a member of the Federal Council from 1999 to 2002 and a member of the Austrian National Council from 2002 to 2008 .

education and profession

Grander attended the housekeeping school in Horn from 1968 to 1969 , the nursing school in Horn from 1972 to 1975 and then graduated from the nursing academy in Mödling . She worked as a nurse in the hospitals of Zwettl-Niederösterreich and Hall in Tirol and from 1990 to 2003 was the nursing director in the Hall in Tirol district hospital.

Political offices

Grander began her political career in 1992 in the Wattens municipal council , which she elected deputy mayor in 1997. Since 1996 she is deputy. ÖVP district party spokeswoman in the Innsbruck-Land district , from 1991 to 2001 she was also deputy there. ÖAAB district chairwoman.
