Niqmepa
Niqmepa (VI.) (* Before 1329 BC; † at least 1265 BC) was from 1313 BC. Until at least 1265 BC Chr. Ugaritic king. His long reign is well documented by the written records of the Ugarit and Ḫattuša texts .
In the 9th year of the reign of Mursili II (18th year of the haremhab ) Niqmepa succeeded the throne. His politically most striking document is the renewal of the peace treaty with Mursili II, which continued to guarantee Ḫatti's supremacy over Ugarit. When the Hittite great king Ḫattušili III. took over, Niqmepa still ruled.
