Maria Hilf (Raiggers)
The chapel Maria Hilf in Raiggers in the municipality Kraftisried is erected in 1645 Kapellenbau , which is a listed building.
history
The chapel was built on behalf of Captain Georg Einsle from Raiggers on the place of a statue donated by him in 1635. Einsle wanted to thank the Blessed Mother that he and his family survived the Thirty Years' War and the plague unscathed. It was probably expanded in 1771.
description
The building comprises a rectangular choir room with a narthex to the north and a turret with a small, unadorned bell from around 1645.
Furnishing
Noteworthy is a votive picture donated by Georg Einsle on the west wall of the chapel, which tells the history of the church. Einsle and his family can be seen below, above Georg, the patron saint of the founder, kills a dragon and thus frees the king's daughter who was chosen as a victim in the upper right corner of the picture. Below is a picture of the chapel on the right and several renovation notes on the left.
