Maria Kuczmann

Maria Kuczmann (born September 1,  1957 in Leverkusen ) is a former German basketball player .

career

Between 1976 and 1988, Kuczmann played 150 full international matches for the German national team. She took part in the 1980 World Championships and the 1981 and 1983 European Championships.

At club level, the build-up and wing player became German champions with TuS 04 Leverkusen in 1978 and 1979, and with DJK Agon 08 Düsseldorf she won six more championship titles. With Düsseldorf she was in the European Cup final in 1983 and 1985. In addition, Kuczmann was five times DBB Cup winner.

Her husband Achim Kuczmann was a national player and later a coach in the basketball league . Son Michael  played for Bayer Leverkusen in the 2nd Bundesliga ProA , daughter Janina played for Opladen in the 2nd Bundesliga.
