Maria Leister (born January 21, 1956 in Rüsselsheim , now Maria Bontrup) is a former German volleyball player .

Maria Leister was 97 times German national player between 1976 and 1982 . She played in the Bundesliga for TG Rüsselsheim until 1982 and won the German Cup in 1981 . From 1982 to 1986 she played for the league competitor TuS Stuttgart .

Today Maria Bontrup lives in Vaihingen an der Enz and works as a teacher. She is a member of the over 50 senior national team and has also been the German senior champion several times.
