Maria Sargany

Maria Sargany , also Maria Stern or Maria Birnbaum (* 1808 in Prague , † 1862 there ) was a Bohemian theater actress .

Life

Sargany, who first appeared under the name Stern and after her marriage to Carl Birnbaum in 1835 under the name of her husband, worked primarily at the Hoftheater Kassel (1835-1856), and took a not insignificant position in her field of tragic lover . In 1856 she renounced the stage and died in 1862 in her native city.
