Maria Smida , b. Sebald , (born July 22, 1977 in Tegernsee ) is a German ice hockey and softball player .
Life Smida's home clubs are Dornbirn Sharx from Austria in softball and ESC Planegg from Germany in ice hockey . By winning the German championship in 2008 with the ESC Planegg, Maria Smida is one of the few athletes in Germany who have become German champions in two different Olympic team sports. In addition, she won the silver medal with the Dornbirn Sharx in the European competition of national champions in 2008, making her the first and so far only German softball player to achieve a medal in a European competition.
In 2010 she married Viliam Smida and took his name.
