Maria Stefania (* 1980 in Germany) is a German singer. She was best known as the singer of the trance project Noémi .
Life
Maria Stefania started singing when she was four years old. In her childhood and youth she took piano and dance lessons. She also took part in a number of talent competitions. Her professional career began in 1999. She recorded the song Don't Break My Heart as Stefania for Universal Records , a cover version of the 1980s hit by Den Harrow , which placed 67th in Germany. She also participated in other dance projects such as Planet Violet by Nalin Inc.
She then founded the Noémi project together with trance and house producers Manfred Hölter, Thorsten Kipka, Thomas Detert and Mike Griesheimer, with which she had three single hits. After problems with the record company JIVE / Zomba Records , which closed their dance department, she left the project and tried unsuccessfully as a pop singer under her old stage name Stefania.
