Maria Vollmer

Maria Vollmer (born July 27, 1967 in Heidelberg ) is a German cabaret artist .

Maria Vollmer has been a cabaret artist since 2001, first in the duo "First Ladies" and since 2010 with her solo programs.

Life

Maria Vollmer completed her dance and pedagogical training at the Rotterdamse Dansacademie and at the Stage School of Dance and Drama Hamburg. She also received extensive musical training in singing, percussion and flute. Since 1990 she has danced in various productions in Amsterdam, Hamburg and Berlin. From 1986 to 2001 she was a member of the group Neuer Tanz, Düsseldorf.

From 2001 to 2011 she appeared together with Eva-Maria-Michel as the comedy duo First Ladies, with whom she won numerous cabaret awards.

In June 2010 her first solo program “Sex & Drugs in the Terraced House” appeared, with which she successfully tours Germany. Maria Vollmer developed her very own kind of comedy from her musical and dance background.

Her second solo program “Sünde, Sekt & Sahneschnittchen” appeared in October 2013 as part of the Cologne Comedy Festival .

Her third solo program "Push-up, Pillen & Prosecco" will appear from October 2016.

She is married to the cabaret artist Peter Vollmer and lives in Cologne .
