Mariana Codruț (born November 1, 1956 in Prisăcani near Iași ) is a Romanian writer .

Life

Mariana Codruț graduated from the Alexandru Ioan Cuza University in Iași with a degree in philology ( French and Romanian ) and then initially worked as a teacher. After 1989 she was the editor of various literary magazines ("Convorbiri literare" and "Sud-Est"). From 1996 to 2005 she held seminars on journalistic writing at Iaș University. She is currently working as an editor at the publishing house of the University of Iași.

She has published articles in magazines and anthologies in Spain, Russia, the Czech Republic, Macedonia, Germany, Canada, Austria, Italy, Poland and the like. a. and was invited to readings in cities all over the world: Vienna, Salzburg, Struga, Magdeburg, Leipzig, New York a. a.

Her first of now six volumes of poetry was published in 1982.
