Mariana Dátola
Mariana Dátola (* 1975 in Tandil ) is an Argentine singer and music teacher.
Dátola studied singing, guitar and piano at the Conservatorio Provincial Isaías Orbe and the Escuela Municipal de Música Popular . In 1999 she went to Buenos Aires, where she took piano and singing classes with Cristina Bell , Marta Bellomo and Cristina Aguayo . Until 2003 she taught solo and ensemble singing at the Universidad del Centro de la Provincia de Buenos Aires , then at the Sindicato Argentino de Músicos (SADEM).
Dátola began her career as a singer as an interpreter of tangos by the composers Homero Manzi , Enrique Santos Discépolo , Enrique Cadícamo and others. She later appeared as the singer of Boleros and Bossa Novas . Her musical companions included u. a. Pablo Bas , Miguel Ferragine , Omar Subelza , Bernardo Pérez , Sergio Pantuso , Juan Orbaiceta , Jorge Suárez , Coie Granato , Quique Ferrari , Nelson Castro , Guillermo Bocha Sotes , Juan Alberto García , Rubén Mono Izarrualde and Nicolás Colacho Brizuela . She also leads the vocal ensemble Hijas de su madre , with which she performs arrangements of traditional music from different cultures.
