Marianne Denzel

Marianne Denzel , also Marianne Denzel-von Jarmy zu Szolnok , (* 1932 in Bad Schussenried , † 1975 in Cologne ) was a German goldsmith and designer.

Live and act

Marianne Denzel learned the goldsmith's trade in the early 1950s, attended the Werkkunstschule in Schwäbisch Gmünd (now the Schwäbisch Gmünd University of Design ) and then studied at the Royal Danish Academy of Art in Copenhagen . After graduating, she went to Austria, took part in national and international exhibitions and then got a leading position in the design department of the metal goods company Berndorf, which has existed in the Baden district of Lower Austria since 1843 . Her precious metal designs were of captivating elegance and aesthetics. B. Austrian Airlines as 1st class on-board cutlery.

In 1965 Marianne Denzel was appointed to the Cologne Werkschulen as head of the Precious Metals and Industrial Design department (and thus the successor to the professor emeritus Elisabeth Treskow ). She worked in the art and design department at the Cologne University of Applied Sciences until her death in 1975.
