Marianne Janik

Marianne Janik (* 1965 in Konstanz ) is a French lawyer. She has been the Country Manager for Microsoft Switzerland since July 2015 .

Career

The native French received a doctorate in law . Janik then worked for Daimler-Benz , ESG and Elster, among others . Then she headed for about four years in the management of Microsoft Germany as Senior Director Public Sector the areas of public administration , education and health care .

Current projects

Two data centers were recently opened in Switzerland, in Geneva and Zurich - according to Marianne Janik, Microsoft wants to be the first cloud provider for these services from Switzerland. In an interview with Online PC, Janik states that she would like to further advance the development of the IT industry in Switzerland. According to Janik, Microsoft has been working with EPFL and ETH for 10 years and supports the professor from Marc Pollefeys, who teaches at ETH and, among other things, heads Microsoft's Mixed Reality and AI Lab in Zurich
