Marianne Klappert

Marianne Klappert (born November 28, 1943 in Marburg , † April 16, 2008 in Freudenberg ) was a German politician ( SPD ).

After attending primary school, she did an apprenticeship as an industrial clerk . She worked in this profession until 1973 when she became a housewife. From 1985 to 1990 she was branch manager of the community college of the Siegen-Wittgenstein district .

Klappert joined the SPD in 1972, and in 1973 she became a member of the SPD sub-district executive committee in Siegen-Wittgenstein. Since 1988 board member of the SPD district Western Westphalia. 1975 to 1994 member of the Freudenberg City Council , 1979 to 1984 deputy parliamentary group leader, 1984 to 1989 deputy mayor.

From 1990 to 2002 she was a member of the German Bundestag . In 1990 and 1994 she was elected via the state list of the SPD North Rhine-Westphalia and in 1998 she won the Siegen-Wittgenstein constituency directly. Most recently she was a member of the Committee on Tourism and Tourism and the Committee on Consumer Protection, Food and Agriculture.
