Masson got her first World Cup points in March 1983 in Labrador City with the 18th place over 10 km. At the Nordic World Ski Championships in 1985 in Seefeld in Tirol , she ran in 20th place over 10 km, 18th over 5 km and ninth place with the relay. In March 1985 she achieved her best individual placement in the World Cup with sixth place over 10 km in Falun and her best overall result at the end of the 1984/85 season with 30th place in the overall World Cup. In January 1987 she was second with the relay at the World Cup in Calgary . At the Nordic World Ski Championships in Oberstdorf in 1987 , she came in 38th place over 10 km classic, 35th place over 20 km freestyle and seventh place with the relay. The following year she finished 37th over 10 km classic and 27th over 20 km freestyle at the Winter Olympics in Calgary. In addition, she won ninth place in the season together with Angela Schmidt-Foster , Carol Gibson and Lorna Sasseville . Her best results at the Nordic World Ski Championships in Lahti in 1989 were 22nd place over 30 km freestyle and eighth place with the relay. She completed her last international race at the Nordic World Ski Championships in 1991 in Val di Fiemme . There she won the 41st place over 30 km freestyle and 10 km freestyle and 11th place with the relay
Her brother Alain was also active as a cross-country skier.
