Marie Albrecht

Marie Albrecht (* 1866 in Znaim ; † after 1935 ) was a Czechoslovakian-Austrian teacher, draftsman and painter.

Life

She was the daughter of Karl Albrecht and his wife Anna nee Prüller. She attended the technical school for ceramics and related arts and crafts in Znojmo, where she trained as a draftsman and painter. Marie Albrecht then took part in the preparation for the teaching profession, which she successfully completed as a certified teacher.

Marie Albrecht remained unmarried and lived in Znojmo, Kleine Franziskanergasse 2, which had belonged to Czechoslovakia since 1918 .

She combined the profession of teacher, draftsman and painter, in which she mostly produced large-format teaching material murals for school use. Marie Albrecht also specialized in watercolors. She participated in major art exhibitions and received several awards and honors.
