Marie Cachová

Marie Cachová ( September 4, 1853 in Beroun - February 28, 1879 in Beroun or Prague ) was a Czech opera singer ( alto ).

Life

Cachová was committed to the Prozatimní divadlo (Provisional Opera House) in Prague in 1876 . There she sang "Martinka" under the direction of Bedřich Smetana in the world premiere of his opera The Kiss on November 7, 1876. Her career that followed was ended at the age of only 26 when she died of tuberculosis.
