Marieke van der Pol (born July 14, 1953 in Amsterdam ) is a Dutch actress and screenwriter .

Life

Marieke van der Pol was trained as an actress at the Toneelschool in Amsterdam between 1975 and 1979 , after which she took on roles in television films and series such as the television comedy Oppass !!! which was produced by Chiem van Houweninge . . She has been writing screenplays since 1992, including for the feature film Die Zwillinge (2002) based on the novel by Tessa de Loo .

Van der Pol's first novel, entitled Bridal Flight , was published in 2007, for which she received the Academia DebutantenPrijs in 2008 . In the same year the novel was filmed with Rutger Hauer under the title Bride Flight .
