Marieluise Butcher
Marieluise Metzger (* 1938 in Aalen-Ebnat ) is a German nun .
Life
The nun, who comes from the Swabian town of Aalen, has been a member of the leadership of the Sisters of Mercy of Saint Vincent von Paul in Untermarchtal since 1979 . In 1981 she initiated the annual youth convention in which up to 4,000 people take part. She has been Superior General since 1991 . Under her leadership, the monastery's own social institutions were transformed into non-profit limited liability companies. She is responsible for over 4000 employees. Her sister M. Lintrud Funk followed in 2009.
Awards
On 10 May 2003, her gave Prime Minister Erwin Teufel , the Medal of Merit of the State of Baden-Wuerttemberg . On February 26, 2009 she was awarded the Federal Cross of Merit, First Class , by Prime Minister Günther Oettinger in recognition of her achievements in the social field .
