history

Marienhof

At the beginning of the 16th century, the area Hühnerland was divided. The western part went to the von Zicker family, around 1522 to Georg (Jürgen) von der Jahn auf Neese . In 1588, Hans von der Jahn set up an "arable farm", the remaining parts of the district initially remained farming land. After the Thirty Years' War the farms of the "Hoff Lüttgen Hunerland" became deserted. "Halbe Hühnerland" with its field mark was included in the main town of Neese. In the 18th century a widow's residence was set up in the side courtyard, which was initially called "Ohl Fruen Hof". It has been called Marienhof since around 1780 .

In later years Marienhof is classified as a dairy farm . Seven residents are named in the village for 1930. Responsible post office and nearest train station was the Prussian Wendisch Warnow (today Klein Warnow).

Hühnerland and Marienhof belonged to different communities for several centuries. While Marienhof belonged to Neese, Hühnerland had been part of the Werle community since 1766 . Today all these places belong to the municipality of Prislich.
