Marina Schlünz

Marina Schlünz (born May 19, 1956 in Hanover ) is a German engineer and professor at Hanover University .

life and work

In 1980 Schlünz completed her studies in metallurgy and materials science at the Technical University of Clausthal , where she also received her doctorate in 1983. She then worked for a number of years in technical consulting and quality management in business, including at Austria Metall . In 1994 she became professor for "Basics of Technology and Quality Management" in the technical editing course at the University of Applied Sciences in Hanover .

She has held various offices at the Hanover University of Applied Sciences. From 1999 to 2003 she was dean of the information and communication department. In May 2014, Schlünz was elected part-time Vice President for Teaching, Studies, Quality, IT and the Library of the University of Hanover.

In 2010, Schlünz was made an honorary member of the Association of German Engineers (VDI). Since January 1, 2015, she has been the chairman of the VDI regional advisory board and thus a member of the VDI executive committee.
