Marine Debauve (born September 3, 1988 in Dijon ) is a French gymnast .

Career

Debauve started doing gymnastics at the age of eight. In 1999 at the age of eleven she did her first international competition and became French junior champion. In 2003 she became French all-around champion; in the same year she took part in her first world championship.

In 2004 she was a member of the French national team at the Olympic Games in Athens , which took sixth place. Marine Debauve herself was seventh in the individual all-around event and thus achieved the best placement ever achieved by a French woman in this discipline. In 2005 she became the first French woman to become European champion in the all-around competition. In the same year she ended her active competitive sports career because of back problems.

In December 2007, Debauve announced their intention to return to the international stage at the 2008 Olympic Games . The return to the French national team after three years she achieved after she was at the French championships in 2008 5th in the all-around and 2nd on the balance beam. This means that she is back in the French selection for the Olympic Games after 2004.
