The Ebino marine radio station ( Japanese え び の 送信 所 , Ebino sōshinjo ) is a system for the transmission of messages to submerged submarines in the long wave range on the transmission frequency 22.2 kHz and a power of 500 W under the callsign JJI at the JMSDF base Ebino ( え び の 基地 , Ebino kichi , English JMSDF Ebino Base ). This is located in Aza 六 本原 , Ōaza Daimyōji, Ebino in Miyazaki Prefecture on the southern Japanese island of Kyūshū in Japan . The Ebino army base is also located in the same Ōaza .
The Ebino marine radio station went into operation in 1991. The station's antenna system consists of eight guyed tubular steel masts at a distance of 550 meters, between which antenna wires are stretched.
