Marinhas is a place and a former municipality ( freguesia ) in northern Portugal .

Marinhas belongs to the county and town of Esposende in the Braga district . The community had an area of 10.4 km² and 6204 inhabitants (as of June 30, 2011).

On September 29, 2013, the municipalities of Marinhas, Gandra and Esposende were merged to form the new municipality of União das Freguesias de Esposende, Marinhas e Gandra .
