Marion Linhardt

Marion Linhardt (* 1967 ) is a German literary and theater scholar and university lecturer who has specialized in the fields of operetta and old Viennese folk theater .

Life

Marion Linhardt studied comparative literature , theater studies and religious studies . She worked on Piper's Encyclopedia of Musical Theater . In 1996 she received her doctorate in theater studies with a special focus on music theater , and in 2005 she received her habilitation. She works as a private lecturer for theater studies at the University of Bayreuth and is the scientific coordinator of the DFG project music theater in German-speaking countries 1900–1950 .

From 2010 to 2014 Linhardt was editor of the publication organ of the International Nestroy Society Nestroyana .
