Marius Anton van Willigen

Marius Anton van Willigen (born September 20, 1962 in Haren ) is a Dutch theologian of the Reformed Confession.

Life

After finishing high school at the Reformed Lyceum in Groningen , he studied the Greek and Latin languages ​​and cultures at the University of Groningen , where he graduated in 1988. From 1986 to 2018, he taught Greek and Latin at two high schools and two high schools for almost 25 years, and he taught Ancient History at a technical college for 28 years. He also taught NT Greek at the Protestant Theological University for several years. In 2008 he received his doctorate in Nijmegen on the sermon on Joseph in the church father, Ambrosius. In the following four years he was a visiting researcher at Tilburg University . A few months after completing his doctoral thesis, he founded the Stichting Bijbeluitleg Vroege Kerk , a foundation that enables the publication of various studies in the field of the early church, and also established the chair for the interpretation of the Bible in the early church there.
