Marjorie Hunt

Marjorie Hunt (born October 9, 1954 ) is a folklorist , author , film director and film producer who was awarded an Oscar .

Career

Hunt received her Masters in 1980 and Ph.D. in 1995. at the University of Pennsylvania . In addition to her work as a folklorist, she was also active in the film business as a producer and director. She took part in the film The Stone Carvers , which won the award in the category “ best documentary short film ” at the 1985 Academy Awards . She accepted the award together with Paul Wagner , with whom she had also written the script. She was the sole director of the documentary White House Workers: Traditions and Memories and deals with the subject of the White House .
