Mark Bloom (born November 25, 1987 in Marietta ) is a retired American football player on the position of defender .

Career

Youth and amateur football

During his time at Berry University , he played there for the college team of his university. At the same time he also played in the USL Premier Development League for the Atlanta Silverbacks U-23 and the Southern California Seahorses .

Club career

Bloom signed his first professional contract in the USSF Division 2 Professional League with AC St. Louis . He made his competitive debut on April 10, 2010 in the game against the Carolina RailHawks . After one season he moved to the Charlotte Eagles in the United Soccer League . In 2013, Bloom joined the Atlanta Silverbacks , who play in the North American Soccer League . During the season he was loaned to Toronto FC . There he was able to convince and was offered a multi-year contract for the following season.

Given Bloom to Atlanta United in exchange for Clint Irwin on December 13, 2016 .
