The Mark Holtz Lake is an artificially created lake in the metropolitan area of the Texas city of Arlington .
The approximately 4.8 hectare lake was created during the construction of the Rangers Ballpark and is located north of the stadium. It is fed with water from Johnson Creek . The lake was named after the sports reporter Mark Holtz (1945-1997), who reported regularly on the Texas Rangers' baseball games .
In the lake is the waterfall sculpture Morna Linn by the sculptor Norm Hines .
