Markham Spur is a prominent and rocky ridge in East Antarctica Victoria Land . In the Asgard Range , it extends from Roa Ridge in a south-westerly direction into the Matterhorn Glacier .
The New Zealand Geographic Board named the ridge in 1998 by Geoffrey W. Markham, secretary of the New Zealand committee in the International Geophysical Year (1957-1958) and chairman of the Antarctic Division in the New Zealand Department of Scientific and Industrial Research ( Department of Scientific and Industrial Research ) of 1959 to 1965.
