The market hall in Dourdan , a French town in the Essonne department in the Île-de-France region , was built in 1836. The market hall on the Place du Général de Gaulle replaced the old market hall from the 13th century.

The new market hall was built by the contractor Alexis-Léonard Pommier according to plans by the architect Lucien-Tirte van Clemputte.

The approximately 38 meter long hall with wooden pillars on sandstone foundations has two-storey buildings made of quarry stone at both ends . The representative entrance on the south side with a large round arch faces the city center.
