Market hall in Méréville

The market hall in Méréville , a French commune in the Essonne department in the Île-de-France region , was built in 1511. The market hall on the Place des Halles has been on the list of architectural monuments in France as Monument historique since 1921 .

The landlord Bertrand de Reilhac had the market hall built. The king granted the privilege of one market day per week and four fairs per year.

The building consists of a long hall that is divided into three naves by pillars on sandstone bases.
