Sebastiano Gastaldi (born June 12, 1991 in Piove di Sacco , Italy ) is an Argentine ski racer .

biography

Gastaldi completed an FIS race for the first time in August 2006; in the giant slalom of Chapelco , he finished 42nd. In September 2010 Gastaldi won a race in the South American Cup for the first time. In February 2012 he competed in the European Cup for the first time when he could not qualify for the second round in the giant slalom in Monte Pora . Gastaldi made his World Cup debut in December 2012; he retired in the slalom of Alta Badia in the first round. In December 2014 he collected European Cup points for the first time; in the slalom of Obereggen he finished 28th. To date, however, he has not been able to get any World Cup points.

In 2011 , 2013 , 2015 and 2017 Gastaldi took part in the Alpine World Ski Championships. His best result was a 38th place in the giant slalom 2017. In 2014 he also took part in the Olympic Winter Games; he competed in the giant slalom and the slalom and was eliminated there in the first round and in the second round.

His sister Nicol (* 1990) is also a ski racer.
