Alta Badia
Alta Badia ( Ladin and Italian for Hochabtei , also Hochabteital ) is a tourism association in the south of the Val Badia in the South Tyrolean Dolomites ( Italy ). It includes the mostly Ladin-speaking communities Corvara , Abtei and Wengen .
Alta Badia ski area
The Alta Badia ski area , located between 1400 and 2700 meters above sea level, is open from November to April. It includes 95 slopes. With eleven other ski areas, it is part of the Dolomiti Superski ski area network . This connects the ski area with the neighboring Arabba and Val Gardena ski areas .
Ski World Cup Alta Badia
The Gran Risa is located in the territory of the municipality of Abbey. The Gran Risa is particularly known for the numerous races of the Alpine Ski World Cup . It is considered to be one of the most difficult routes in the Ski World Cup. The men's World Cup giant slalom has been held annually on the Gran Risa since 1990.
Maratona dles Dolomites
The Maratona dles Dolomites is a road cycling marathon in the Dolomites around Alta Badia, which has been held annually on the first Sunday in July since 1987.
