Dolomiti Superski

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Dolomiti Superski (completely Federazione dei Consorzi di Zona degli Imprenditori Esercenti Impianti di Trasporto a Fune Dolomiti Superski , shortened Federconsorzi Dolomiti Superski ) is a network of twelve ski areas in the Dolomites , whose ski lifts and slopes can be used with a single ski pass . The headquarters of the consortium founded in 1974 with six ski areas by the Milan lawyer Gianni Marzola is in Runggaditsch in the municipality of Castelrotto ( South Tyrol ). While the approx. 130 operators of the lifts are entrepreneurially independent, Dolomiti Superski acts as a coordinator: booking, ticket sales and marketing are controlled centrally; The income is then distributed to the members according to a distribution key that promotes quality competition among the participating operators.

In 2013, the association had sales of around 290 million euros and employed around 3,000 (seasonal) employees. Four million ski passes were sold in 2012/2013. According to their own information, the Dolomiti Superski ski areas have 460 lifts with a transport capacity of 630,000 people per hour and cover 1,200 kilometers of slopes, which are covered with artificial snow by 4,700 snow cannons and 320 snow groomers are groomed. This makes the association the largest of its kind in Europe and, with its founding in 1974, one of the oldest.

In a study by the Swiss Institute for Entrepreneurship (SIFE) at the University of Technology and Economics in Chur on the role of innovations in tourism , Dolomiti Superski is described as the “prime example of cooperation ” and examined in the best practice study on alpine tourism. The cooperation model of Dolomiti Superski became a model for later mergers such as Ski amadé .

Section of the Saslong in Val Gardena ( South Tyrol ).

The following twelve regions have come together to form the Dolomiti Superski:

The Sellaronda and the adjacent Gardena Ronda are located in the area of the lift network .
