Obereggen
Obereggen is a mountain village in Eggental , which belongs to the St. Nikolaus / Eggen fraction of the municipality of Deutschnofen , and is located in the Dolomites at the foot of the Latemar . Tourism is the most important economic factor in Obereggen . It is mainly known to winter sports enthusiasts because of the ski area, the Ski Center Latemar . The Eggentaler Schupfenfest has always been held on the first Sunday in August since 2002.
The village itself has 93 inhabitants. The main livelihood is related to tourism , but there are also some farmers who do livestock farming.
