Halės turgus
Hales turgus (dt. Hall market , nor Hales turgavietė ) is a market hall in the Lithuanian capital of Vilnius , near the bus station and train station Vilnius . The market is located in the old town of Vilnius , at Pylimo gatvė 58 / Bazilijonų g. 1. The market is only closed on Mondays. The area of the market is 8400 m². There is a parking lot with 150 spaces.
history
In the 18th century there was a small estate here. From the second half of the 19th century there was a grain market here. The current building was built between 1904 and 1906. The project author was engineer and architect Vaclovas Michnevičius . Since 2002 the marketplace has been managed by the Lithuanian company UAB "Tugva". The market was reconstructed in 2006.
