Vaclovas Michnevičius (Polish Wacław Michniewicz ; * 1866 in Strebeikiai , Jonava area , † January 14, 1947 in the Lithuanian SSR ) was a Polish civil engineer and architect , project author of more than 30 churches.

Life

His parents were A. Svolken and D. Michnevičius. They had 180 hectares of agriculture. Vaclovas graduated from the Žeimiai school and in 1893 architecture and bridge and road construction at the Institute of Civil Engineering Saint Petersburg . He married the German linguist from Bavaria K. Feige. On the initiative of banker Juozapas Montvila 1893 came Michnevičius to Vilnius and worked as an assistant to the city architect and from 1904 to 1912 as a city architect of Vilnius. From 1904 to 1906 he designed the Vilnius market hall . From 1925 he lived in Strebeikiai and then wanted to become the city architect of Kaunas . But he worked as a country road specialist.
