The Melrose Market Cross is a market cross in the Scottish town of Melrose in the Council Area Scottish Borders . In 1971 the structure was included in the Scottish monument lists in the highest monument category A. A former further classification as a Scheduled Monument was lifted in 2016.

The earliest market cross was installed in Melrose as early as the 16th century. Today's market cross is the second of its kind. It was erected in 1645 and is now located in the middle of a roundabout at the junction of the two main roads in the center of Melrose. Its octagonal shaft rests on a two-tier, octagonal base. It bears the year 1645 and a sundial . A raised unicorn with a hammer and rose rests on its simple capital .
