Markus Dürst

Markus Dürst (born July 5, 1982 ) is a Swiss musician and composer.

Life

In 2001 Dürst won the Swiss Young Musicians' Competition with the group “Firlefanz”, which was founded especially for the occasion, and in the same year the first CD recordings with the Trio Eugster took place .

In 2002 he founded the group “Innovativo” with his stepfather Hansjörg Rohner, a music lecturer at the University of Education in Rorschach, and Adriano Aprile, a two-time Swiss champion. In 2003 he became Swiss runner-up in the duo upper level accordion together with Adriano Aprile . In 2010 Dürst's first solo CD was released with "MusiggDürst".

As "DJ Madü" (also "DJ MADUE") he has been producing experimental electro, Goa and Dubstep since 1990 . In 2011 the first CD "DJ Madü Live 2011" was released. Together with Rico Fischbacher, Dürst worked on a CD project that also included experimental music with electronic and acoustic sounds. The name of the project was also the name of the CD: "Drumloop - the project".

Dürst has been working with Wolfgang Verocai in some of his bands since he was 25 years old. In 2011 he was a guest musician on the CD "Moatlaschmecker" of the Schellinski music group . In 2013 he received an offer from the JMSAH (youth music school Arbon / Horn). In 2014 he became a music teacher at JMSAH, where he has been teaching accordion music ever since.

From 2014 to 2015, a new concert concept was developed together with Wolfgang Verocai, which was soon presented in Vienna, Ireland, Switzerland and Austria. This concept includes new songs and a new CD, which was presented live in the ORF-V regional studio at the end of 2015 under the name "HETTI, WETTI, TÄTI".

In 2016 a tour with the new program with several concerts was carried out. Another appearance in the ORF-V regional studio.
